Randy Roberts joined the Triangle Aquatic Center team on May 1, 2007 after spending eleven years at the Georgia Institute of Technology Aquatic Center. While at Georgia Tech, Randy was a Sector Coordinator for the Atlanta Committee of the 1996 Olympic Games, and participated in the ensuing $43 million renovation of the facility. In addition to his responsibilities at Georgia Tech, Randy is a timing system operator at USA Swimming National meets, including the 2004 Olympic Trials and the 2006 Pan Pacific Championships. Randy's expertise in event hosting and his long-standing track record of managing quality aquatic facilities make Randy a wonderful addition to the Triangle Aquatic Center and the entire Wake County aquatic community.

Randy has full responsibility for all operational aspects of the Cary aquatic facility and will manage its daily operations. Randy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in management from Georgia Tech and lives in Cary with his wife Caroline and two children Libby and Brice.

Doracy Harrison Doracy Harrison, Program Manager
919.459.4045 ext. 223 | dharrison@triangleaquatics.org

Doracy brings a strong passion for fitness and aquatics that most certainly will translate into a variety of programs that will have something to offer everyone in our community.

Doracy proudly wears the lighter shade of blue. She holds a B.A in both Communication Studies and Exercise & Sport Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. During her undergrad career, she was in the Honors Program, spent a semester abroad in Australia where she took advantage of diving the Great Barrier Reef, and was honored with the Patrick F. Earey "Outstanding Senior" Award from the Exercise & Sport Science department.

After a few years of working, coaching, and personal training, Doracy returned to complete her masters degree in exercise physiology at UNC, driven by the desire to return to the fitness industry and open opportunities for others to improve health and wellness. She served as a graduate fitness consultant, designing and implementing outreach and training programs for students on campus, and also taught several courses for the physical activity department. Her experience also includes hands-on work with cardiac rehabilitation patients; preparing, monitoring, and conducting rehabilitative exercise sessions.

Since moving to Raleigh in 2002, Doracy has been a member and volunteer board member of the Raleigh Area Masters swim team, and has coached for several local swim teams, gaining knowledge in the operation of leagues at the city, summer, and year-round club levels. Her background in aquatics and related interests such as scuba, triathlon, and "dryland" will help to bring a wide range of opportunities for TAC' patrons. Doracy and her husband Russell were married last May and live in North Raleigh.

Derek Wall Derek Wall, Facility Manager
919.459.4045 ext. 224 | dwall@triangleaquatics.org

The Triangle Aquatic Center is very pleased to announce that Derek Wall has agreed to dive in with us as our new Facility Manager. Derek’s strong aquatic background and experience is well-suited to his new role in managing the 72,000 square foot aquatic facility housing three pools. Born and raised in Raleigh, Derek has spent the past 10 years involved in aquatics. Water has always been a staple in Derek’s life. Swimming, lifeguarding, lifeguard training, and most recently managing over 40 pools in Raleigh certainly provides him with the special skills needed to manage Triangle Aquatic Center' Cary facility – the largest public aquatic facility in NC.

Derek graduated from Campbell University with a Major in Business Administration and a Minor in Marketing. He comes to Triangle Aquatics from Carolina Pool Management, where he rose quickly through the ranks to a position of Regional Director. During his tenure at CPM, Derek gained extensive knowledge and experience with pool operations, county and state regulations, and the ability to recruit, hire and train exceptional lifeguards. His passion for excellence is obvious as one former lifeguard was heard to remark “Working with Derek is always a lot of fun - as long as things are running perfectly!” Such passion makes Derek an outstanding addition to the TAC staff and it’s commitment to become a national leader in aquatic programming.
