We kick off the 2018 Events Season with this year’s TAC TITANS Polar Plunge Meet. The meet runs in eight sessions, Friday, January 12th through Monday, January 15th. This year’s Plunge features nearly 900 swimmers from across North Carolina and Virginia. Friday’s session begins with warm ups at 3:30pm and runs until 8pm. Saturday and Sunday features 3 sessions each starting at 7am and running until 8:30pm. This year’s meet features a Time Trial session on Monday, January 15th (MLK Day) which will kickoff at 8:30am. Additionally, TAC will host a Blood Drive on Saturday, January 13th, sponsored by the Blood Connection. Everyone is encouraged to participate and receive a $10 Chick-fil-A gift card. Saturday will also feature a visit from the Canines for Therapy dogs. Several therapy teams will be on deck for the morning and afternoon sessions.
Parking for the meet will be strictly enforced. Only TAC staff, coaches and officials will be permitted to park at TAC. All swimmers and spectators must park at the Cary Towne Center. If you are coming to TAC to rec swim or for our lesson programs you MUST check in at the front desk to receive a wrist band to get down on deck. Also, rec and program/lesson swimmers must park at the mall as well.
Admission to the Plunge is free and open to the public. We’ll be featuring several TAC sponsors, including KIND Bars, Lowe’s Foods and Bruegger’s Bagels. We hope to see you this weekend at the Plunge!
