Scholarship Opportunities
The Nonprofit Triangle Aquatic Center’s mission is to build and operate public aquatic facilities for the health, safety, recreation and competition needs of Triangle citizens and aquatic organizations.
In pursuit of this mission, and to support more public access to swimming programs, TAC has created four (4) scholarships to provide more opportunity and affordable access to swimming programs for the children of the Triangle.

TITANS Opportunity Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide children new to year-round swimming an opportunity to join the TITANS swim team who otherwise would not be able to participate due to the cost. Children ages 8-15 as of September 1st residing in Wake County who show a strong interest in competitive swimming and whose family qualifies for Wake County’s free or reduced priced lunch program are eligible to apply. Recipients of this scholarship receive the following:
- Free annual registration
- Free monthly dues
- Free meet fees
- An award of uniforms and equipment.*
Application submission is open between June 1st – July 15th. Swimmers will be eligible to participate at the beginning of the short-course season. TITANS Performance Scholarship
This award is designed to help offset the high cost for families of swimmers who perform at a high level in the sport. Eligibility requires you to be a Registered TITANS swimmer who achieves a current individual time cut to qualify for a short-course or long-course USA Swimming Junior or Senior National Championship. Scholarship eligibility and benefits are subject to change based on the types of aquatic programs TAC offers and funding sources.
