Weekday Morning / Afternoon Senior Fitness

Triangle Aquatic Center is proud to offer several types of Senior Fitness classes both in and out of the water. All senior fitness classes are taught by experienced, certified instructors and guarantee you the best low impact, high intensity workout you’re looking for!

You must be registered in a fitness class to participate.

  • Silver Sneakers, Renew Active, Silver & Fit, FitOn, and 10-Session Senior Fitness Pass holders can sign up online via Amilia or at the front desk at TAC.
  • Day Senior Fitness Pass holders and those who did not pre-register may sign up the day of the class at the front desk, space permitting.
  • All participants must check in with the front desk before going to class

Class Descriptions and Registration:

Make a splash while you get fit! This 45-minute, high-energy, low-impact water workout is perfect for all fitness levels. Using equipment like water weights, noodles, belts, and balls, you can adjust the intensity to match your goals. Strengthen your body, boost your endurance, and have fun while protecting your joints.

What to bring: A proper bathing suit, towel, and water bottle (NO glass allowed).

Find balance and calm in the water. Aqua Yoga blends gentle stretching and mindful breathing in a warm, supportive environment that eases tension and promotes relaxation. Poses can be easily modified for all abilities, making this class ideal for anyone with arthritis, fibromyalgia, or those returning to fitness.

Aqua Ai Chi blends slow, flowing motions inspired by Tai Chi and Qigong to build strength, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness with minimal joint impact. This calming class is suitable for all fitness levels and perfect for enhancing overall well-being.

Move through a series of exercises designed to build strength, endurance, and flexibility while giving your heart a healthy boost. Suitable for all fitness levels, Hydro Aquatic Training is a refreshing, joint-friendly way to stay active and strong.

What to bring: A proper bathing suit, towel, and water bottle (NO glass allowed).

Get ready for 45 minutes of fun and fitness in this land-based class! Using an exercise tube, fitness ball, and hand weights, you’ll work on muscle conditioning, cardiovascular health, balance, and cognitive function. Whether you’re looking to move more or challenge yourself, this class adapts to you.
You can:

  • Sit and perform all movements from your chair

  • Use your chair for balance support

  • Stand and place your equipment on the chair for a full standing workout

Whatever your fitness goals, you’ll find a routine that fits you!

Turn up the energy and find your rhythm! Cardio Drumming combines movement, music, and rhythm for a full-body, full-brain workout that’s fun and uplifting. The class can be tailored to your needs and promotes physical, emotional, and cognitive wellness at every age. 

What to bring: Yoga ball. Drum sticks will be provided for use during class.

This gentle yoga class combines seated poses, mindful breathing, and relaxation techniques to improve flexibility and range of motion without stressing your joints.
