Ali is a development professional with deep experience in educational fundraising and engagement. A native of eastern North Carolina and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, she began her career in fundraising at the UNC School of Law and later the College of Arts and Sciences, where she supported alumni engagement, worked closely with foundation boards, and helped secure major gifts for graduate and undergraduate education.
Ali moved to California, where she worked at Stanford University managing reunion giving programs and overseeing class campaigns that supported undergraduate priorities, including financial aid, student programs, and student experiences.
After returning to North Carolina to be closer to family, Ali now serves as Director of Development at Cary Academy, where she leads all aspects of fundraising, volunteer engagement, and events, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and event support.
Outside of work, Ali enjoys running, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
