Board of Directors

Jonah Turner serves as Chairman of the Board of the Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC), where he provides strategic leadership, partners closely with the Executive Director, and helps guide the organization’s long-term vision, governance, and community impact.

A Raleigh native, Jonah grew up swimming year-round in the Triangle and competed for Sanderson High School before continuing his swimming career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A distance specialist, he competed in the 1650-, 1000-, and 500-yard Freestyle, as well as the 200-yard Butterfly.

Following his graduation from UNC in 2001, Jonah began his coaching career and has served as Head Coach of the Cardinal Gibbons High School Swim Team for more than 25 years. Under his leadership, the program has become one of the most successful in North Carolina, producing more than 50 High School All-American swimmers and earning 17 State Championship titles. He is passionate about developing student-athletes, emphasizing not only performance in the pool but also the lifelong lessons of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and character that swimming instills.
